During today’s session, the Kyiv City Council decided to allocate over 5 billion UAH for the support of Defense and Security Forces.
This was announced by the city mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
Out of this amount, 4.9 billion UAH will be directed to the "Defender of Kyiv" program. An additional 93 million UAH will be allocated for social protection of veterans. Furthermore, 10 million UAH is earmarked as a subsidy from the city to the state budget of Ukraine for defense measures.
The Kyiv City Council will also approve an increase in one-time financial aid for mobilized residents from 30,000 UAH to 50,000 UAH.
Additionally, a decision will be made to increase the monthly financial assistance provided by the city to healthcare workers.
This specifically involves raising the amount of aid for junior medical staff in healthcare institutions providing medical and rehabilitation assistance.
Currently, they receive 2,000 UAH monthly, which will increase to 3,000 UAH.
Reminder:
The Kyiv City Council has approved a budget for 2025 amounting to over 90 billion UAH. "The budget is balanced. It's important that the most crucial sectors and projects are financially supported so that we can aid the military and ensure the capital's functioning," stated Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
