On September 3, the Lviv factory "Electronmash" unveiled its innovative electric bus model, the Electron E181.

This was announced by Dmitry Kysilevsky, the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on economic development.

According to him, the main feature of the model is its compact length of 10.2 meters. The electric bus can carry 90 passengers and has 30 seating spots, including one for a wheelchair user.

"One battery charge lasts for 300-350 kilometers. Charging takes up to 5 hours. This electric bus can operate in recuperation mode, which means that during braking, part of the energy is returned to the batteries," Kysilevsky noted.

He emphasized that this is reliable and high-quality equipment. Its advantages for customers also include manufacturer service support and the ability to customize the vehicles to meet specific needs.

The localization level of the new model exceeds 40%.

"This innovative project was made possible thanks to the "Made in Ukraine" policy. The localization requirement introduced in 2022 allowed the Electron concern to invest more confidently in R&D and to launch production," the deputy head of the committee stated.

As a result, according to him, job opportunities were created not only for the concern's enterprises in Lviv but also for over 250 Ukrainian suppliers of components and spare parts located across the country. This translates into thousands of new jobs.
