On September 3, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen held a significant meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Marienborg.

This was reported by Frederiksen's office on social media platform X.

“Today we had the opportunity to discuss crucial matters regarding support for Ukraine ahead of the summit of Northern European and Baltic countries. The primary goal of our meeting is to provide additional assistance to the Ukrainian people,” the statement reads.

Frederiksen noted that the Northern European and Baltic countries are active partners in Ukraine's defense efforts. “We gathered in Marienborg to show our unwavering support for Ukraine and continue to apply pressure on Russia,” the press service quoted her.

She emphasized that Ukrainians display “great resilience and ability to defend their homeland,” while Russian President Vladimir Putin “continues his aggressive actions.”

“The response to Russian aggression concerns not only Ukraine's security but also the security of Europe as a whole. Only with a strong Ukraine and a strong Europe can we achieve lasting peace,” she added.
