Veteran Roman Kashpur from Vinnytsia has amazed everyone by setting two new records for Ukraine on a prosthesis.

This was reported by Natalia Zabolotna, the First Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, on her Telegram channel.

«Our indomitable defender, Roman Kashpur, has established a record for the fastest marathon completion time on a prosthesis! His result at the Berlin Marathon was 3 hours, 55 minutes, and 02 seconds», Zabolotna stated.

She also added that Roman became the first para-athlete in Ukraine to complete all six prestigious global marathons on a prosthesis.

«Overall, he has run 7 marathons in London, Washington, New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Chicago, and Boston. That’s 4000 kilometers on a prosthesis in just two years! In international marathons, he surpassed the existing Ukrainian record four times. Finally, his achievements have been recognized!» - emphasized the regional leader.

She highlighted that Roman Kashpur is an example of remarkable determination and resilience, inspiring pride among Ukrainians.

Zabolotna wished the veteran to never lose his zest for life and thanked the coaches for their preparation and support.

As reported, the first national amputee football championship has started in Kyiv, serving as a compelling example of the development of adaptive sports and the social reintegration of veterans and amputees.
