Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb to address key issues regarding the cessation of the Russian war against Ukraine.
This was reported by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
«President Stubb shared his insights regarding the recent meetings held in Washington, involving leaders from Ukraine, Europe, and the United States aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine», the statement read.
«Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India’s unwavering support for a peaceful resolution to the conflict and the prompt restoration of peace and stability», the Ministry noted.
The leaders also discussed the development of bilateral relations and confirmed their commitment to strengthening partnerships in new fields, including quantum technologies, 6G, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and sustainable development.
«President Stubb also expressed Finland’s support for the swift establishment of a mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement between India and the European Union», the Indian Ministry of External Affairs added.
At the end of the conversation, Modi invited Stubb to visit India soon. The leaders agreed to maintain communication.
