Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet with US President Donald Trump on Monday.

This was reported by "European Truth" via its Telegram channel.

Zelensky stated that he has already spoken with Trump and European leaders following their talks in Alaska.

"We had a long and substantive conversation with President Trump, first one-on-one, and then including European leaders. Overall, we discussed for more than an hour and a half, about an hour of which was with President Trump. He informed me about his meeting with the Russian leader and the key points of their discussion," he detailed.

Zelensky continued by expressing his support for Trump’s proposal for a trilateral meeting involving Ukraine, America, and Russia.

"Ukraine emphasizes that key issues can be discussed at the leadership level, and the trilateral format is suitable for this. I plan to discuss all details regarding the cessation of hostilities and the end of the war with President Trump in Washington on Monday. I appreciate the invitation," he wrote.

He added that it is crucial for European partners to be involved at all stages of the process and mentioned the "positive signals from the American side" regarding participation in ensuring security for Ukraine.

It should be noted that after the meeting between the two leaders in Alaska, Trump stated that he reached an agreement with Putin regarding territorial exchanges and that "Zelensky has to accept this."

He also announced new negotiations with the Kremlin leader and said that he would participate in the meeting between Zelensky and Putin if it occurs.

A correspondent from The Economist learned from their sources that a preliminary agreement on a temporary “air” ceasefire was allegedly reached in Alaska, but no official statements have been made regarding this.
