During the initial two weeks of the DOT-Chain Defence drone marketplace operation, military units in eastern Ukraine received over a thousand FPV drones. This is confirmed by information from the Defense Procurement Agency.
The delivery time for orders was less than two weeks, which is more than four times faster than traditional procurement methods. The fastest order reached the front in just 6 days.
Currently, the military has submitted 43 requests for nearly 7,000 drones (FPV and bombers), with a total cost of approximately 245 million UAH. In pilot mode, 12 brigades operating in high-combat-intensity areas are connected to the system. The first orders were placed on July 31.
The DOT-Chain Defence IT solution was developed by the State Logistics Operator and is used by the Defense Procurement Agency for rapid and targeted supply of weapons to the Armed Forces.
To ensure the successful launch of DOT-Chain Defence, the DP Agency and the State Logistics Operator organized online training and field consultations in combat zones. During visits, military personnel were assisted in placing their first orders. According to DP Agency Director Arsen Jumadilov, such trips are planned to be regular for gathering feedback and adapting the system to the needs of the Armed Forces.
The DOT-Chain Defence system operates like a marketplace: military personnel independently select the type and quantity of drones, which are then procured with funds from the DP Agency. Currently, only FPV drones are available, but in the future, the system is expected to expand to other military units and diversify the product range, including electronic warfare tools and additional types of drones.
