A new therapeutic garden is being inaugurated at VDNH, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the urban bureau Big City Lab. The garden will feature an innovative lighting system designed by Expolight.

This lighting system aims to reduce stress and provide a break from the hustle of the big city.

The lighting will be used for meditation paths and relaxation zones where needed. The system will include individual light fixtures, underground lighting for trees and plants, and diodes that mimic the spectrum of sunset, which is most harmonious for human perception.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs emphasizes that this solution is based on successful practices from Japan, Switzerland, and Scandinavian countries, where lighting in gardens and rehabilitation centers helps maintain circadian rhythms and reduce anxiety.

The therapeutic garden will serve as a space for recovery and sensory unloading for veterans, military personnel, and all visitors.

The effect will be achieved through visual, auditory, and tactile interaction with nature, body practices, and collective activities. Gardening therapy, art therapy, workshops will be conducted here, as well as the establishment of an adaptive sports area, relaxation zones, and a space for children.

The project is being implemented as part of the National Strategy for Creating an Accessible Environment in Ukraine, initiated by the First Lady Olena Zelenska.
