The Atmosphere concert agency, responding to Lina Kostenko's request, has canceled two events titled «You Said to Me: I Love You» that were scheduled to take place in Lviv on August 11.

The prominent Ukrainian poet and writer stated that the organizers grossly violated her copyright and previous agreements.

Representatives of Lina Kostenko emphasized that this occurred because the concert organizers did not have written permission from the author for the public performance of her works and failed to notify her about their intention to hold such concerts in Lviv, while actively promoting them and selling a significant number of tickets.

The concerts were supposed to take place in Lviv on August 11 at 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM. However, the event was not completely canceled; the Atmosphere agency, which is organizing the event, changed the title of the performance to «Love, O Black-eyed Ones», where poems by other authors will be recited.

A similar concert, for which tickets were completely sold out, also took place in Kyiv on June 30 at the International Center for Culture and Arts.

Lina Kostenko stated that certain conditions for holding this event, which she set, were met, although they were agreed upon not beforehand but during the preparation of the artistic event, which had already been actively promoted.

Lina Kostenko is currently finishing a new historical novel about the era of the Hetmanate and preparing it for publication.
