On Saturday, an American Airlines flight experienced an emergency situation at Denver International Airport while preparing for departure to Miami. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 encountered issues with its landing gear, leading to a fire outbreak.

According to CNN, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the aircraft faced a maintenance problem related to a tire before takeoff. Emergency services and firefighters rapidly responded, evacuating over 150 passengers onto the runway.

American Airlines reported that a deflated tire likely caused the brake fire, which was swiftly extinguished by the fire brigade.

Fortunately, all passengers and crew members safely exited the aircraft, which was subsequently taken out of service for thorough inspection.

Five individuals received medical attention at the scene, and another was hospitalized with minor injuries. Passengers were scheduled to board another flight to Miami later that day, as stated by American Airlines.

FlightAware data indicated that 240 flights were delayed at Denver International Airport on Saturday evening.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
