On Friday, July 25, electricity consumption is rising across Ukraine due to hot weather.
This is reported by the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" on their Facebook page.
"Electricity consumption shows an upward trend. As of 9:30 today, July 25, it was 6.9% higher compared to the same time the previous day – Thursday. The main reason for this increase is the heat across the entire country. Additionally, cloudy weather with rain in parts of the western and northern regions is causing lower efficiency of household power plants, leading to increased consumption from the general network," the statement reads.
Yesterday, July 24, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening, which was 1.7% higher than the maximum of the previous day – Wednesday.
Ukrenergo reminded that the Ukrainian energy system continues to recover after massive missile and drone attacks from Russia. Emergency recovery work at energy facilities is ongoing.
The company emphasized the need for careful electricity consumption and urged to limit the use of high-power electrical appliances until 10:00 PM.
