This vibrant mural — a powerful narrative about unity, strength, and hope within the community.
Twenty teenagers from the Dymerska community participated in the Dive in ESTEAM camp to bring their creative vision to life.
The mural's concept is entirely theirs. The youth conceived the storyline and collaborated with artists from the international art collective Artolution to bring it to fruition.
Mentor artists Daria Prokopchuk and Kata Rudakova guided the teenagers in refining their ideas, sketching designs, and collaboratively painting a large mural on one of the community's buildings.
This mural represents not just art, but also healing. Teenagers who have faced displacement, loss, or exclusion found a platform to share their stories through colors, symbols, and creativity.
Thanks to Snap's support, the mural comes to life. Scan the QR code in the bottom corner of the image using the Snapchat app, and the mural transforms into augmented reality. To see it, visit Fastiv Street, 5 in Demydove.
The mural's unveiling marked the grand finale of a twelve-day intensive camp where creativity blended with technology and dreams met reality. The camp was filled with excursions, burger-making, and career workshops. Most importantly, it fostered an understanding that the future is a mix of creativity, technology, and the ability to see the world from a broader perspective.
Moreover, the Dive in ESTEAM camp was an explosion of inspiration. Here, teenagers explored professions not yet included in school programs but will be essential in the future.
Together with Snap specialists, they created AR filters, experimented with cosmetics alongside the «Beauty Alliance» team, and even wrote a fun song about a beetle and hot dogs with creative expert Ivan Tokar from Havas Village Ukraine, learning about how the creative industry operates: who brand managers are, how the most intriguing scripts are written, and how marketing analysts impact our daily lives.
Engaging encounters, learning, and mural creation were all part of a collaborative effort between the GoGlobal foundation and its partners: Snap, the Dymerska community, and the international art collective Artolution.
