In the presence of President Zelensky, Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko and Rafael Grossi signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining the main areas of cooperation for the IAEA's assistance in the restoration process.
This document confirms that the IAEA will act as a guarantor of safety during the construction of additional units at the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant and also supports the development of uranium extraction and production in Ukraine, which is a vital aspect of strengthening our energy independence.
