As a result of the explosions in the village of Berezina, two individuals lost their lives and 15 were injured.

This was reported by the head of the Zhytomyr regional administration, Vitaliy Buneko, via Telegram.

“In the locality of Berezina, near Zhytomyr on the international highway M-06, two explosions occurred. Unfortunately, we can confirm that there are two deceased and 15 injured,” Buneko stated.

He also mentioned that private residences were damaged due to the blasts. An operational headquarters has been established at the scene, and all relevant services are working. Assistance is being provided to the victims.

According to the Patrol Police of the Zhytomyr region, due to this emergency, traffic on the 126 km of the M-06 Kyiv — Chop road (near the village of Berezina) is blocked in both directions.

The Zhytomyr regional administration urged residents to close their windows, limit their time outside, drink more water, and turn on air purifiers.
