Norway has allocated approximately 6.7 billion Norwegian kroner (around 580 million euros) to support the "maritime coalition" it leads together with the United Kingdom.

"A portion of this funding will be directed towards the development and production of unmanned naval vessels using KDA technologies, with production based in Ukraine," said Norwegian Defense Minister Tore Onshus Sandvik.

The Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has signed an agreement with a Ukrainian partner for the joint development and production of surface drones utilizing Norwegian technology.

"Unmanned vessels will play a crucial role in assisting Ukraine in defending its territory and neutralizing the Russian fleet in the Black Sea," the statement emphasizes.

As reported earlier, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced the opening of a Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace office in Ukraine, which manufactures weapons including NASAMS missile systems.
