On June 12, Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Mykola Tocićky participated in a field meeting of the Ukrainian Parliament's Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy. The meeting aimed to assess the state of the national archaeological site located in Postal Square, Kyiv.
Tocićky, along with Committee Chairman Mykyta Poturaiev and committee members, city administration representatives, and NGOs, inspected the archaeological site and the national landmark known as the 'Postal Station.'
He noted that the working group of the Ministry is intensifying its efforts to develop a plan for enhancing the museum institution at the archaeological site. The next meeting is scheduled for June 18, inviting representatives from the 'Museum of One Nation at Postal' organization.
The committee participants unanimously supported the need to protect the site and took control of the situation. All parties agreed on the necessity of open dialogue regarding the legal status of the museum at the excavation site.
It is worth mentioning that the 'Museum of One Nation at Postal' organization has reached out to the President of Ukraine, requesting personal patronage over the archaeological site, which historians claim is where the Baptism of Rus took place.
