The National Bank of Ukraine has detected a new fraudulent scheme involving emails with malicious attachments that impersonate official communication from the NBU.

This was reported by the press service of the National Bank.

Fraudsters send emails from various addresses but sign them with a fake e-mail: nbu@gov.nbu.ua, resembling the official domain of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The NBU has urged users not to download files attached to such emails and to avoid clicking on any provided links.

Furthermore, it has been emphasized that NBU employees strictly use official corporate email accounts that feature the domain @bank.gov.ua for electronic correspondence.
