This summer, border guards expect a 40% increase in passenger traffic at the Lviv border crossings.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Summer border queues: what border guards say
The longest queues for exiting Ukraine are observed at the "Krakivets" and "Shehyni" points.
Moderate queues are at "Rava-Ruska", "Hrusheva", and "Uhniv".
The least congestion is noted at "Nyzhankovychy" and "Smilnytsia".
Border guards advise crossing the border:
- for exiting Ukraine: weekdays, morning or late evening
- for entering Ukraine: weekends.
Temporary restrictions at the "Shehyni" border crossing
Border guards noted that due to extensive repair and modernization work at the "Shehyni" crossing, traffic for cars and trucks is temporarily restricted.
Specifically, for exiting Ukraine.
In this direction, new engineering networks are being installed, and the road surface is being dismantled.
People are advised to consider these temporary restrictions when planning their trips and to choose alternative crossing points if possible.
The State Border Guard Service also reminded that the border can be crossed in the western section through the Transcarpathian, Chernivtsi, and Volyn regions.
