The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, stated that the deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine is currently not under discussion due to the lack of a peace agreement.

Direct quote: "As for the placement of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine, we cannot discuss this as there is no peace agreement in place. The specifics of the mandate are difficult to determine and will be decided by individual states."
We talked about the guarantees we can achieve. I am convinced that a combination of economic, political, and military guarantees will be sufficient. Without security guarantees for Ukraine, it is not relevant to discuss what troops will be stationed there."
Details: Additionally, Pavel commented on Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal for a short-term ceasefire, noting that one-day or three-day pauses do not create conditions for real peace negotiations. He emphasized that the important aspect is not just the ceasefire itself, but its actual adherence.
At the same time, Pavel underscored that it was Ukraine that proposed a 30-day ceasefire without additional conditions. According to him, Putin holds the real leverage to end the war.
