The Ukrainian association «Society of Ukrainian-Cypriot Friendship» has been accepted as an associate member of the European Congress of Ukrainians (ECU). This announcement was made on ECU's official Facebook page.
Founded in 2017, the organization brings together Ukrainians in Cyprus to promote culture, social integration, and friendly relations with Cypriots.
The Society actively holds various cultural and social events, participates in international initiatives and advocacy projects, shaping the voice of the Ukrainian community on the island.
The strategic goal of the «Society of Ukrainian-Cypriot Friendship» is to strengthen Ukrainian identity abroad and promote important issues for Ukraine.
During the annual General Assembly of the society last November, elections were held for a new Board of Directors. The updated leadership, led by Nadiia Mykhailina, will serve until November 2027.
It is also noteworthy that last year, the Ukrainian House was inaugurated in Paphos.
