On the left bank of the Ukrainian capital, the renovation of the new Veterans Support Center «Kyiv Military Hub» is nearing completion. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Marina Honda.
Key technical works have already been carried out: electricity has been supplied, ventilation, heating, and air conditioning systems have been installed, water supply and sewage systems have been laid, and elevators and lifts have been set up.
Currently, the final phase is underway — painting the walls and facade, laying floor coverings, and landscaping the area around the Center. The Darnytsia District Administration will soon begin landscaping the alley and planting greenery.
The total area of the facility is 812 square meters. The space will be fully inclusive: featuring ramps, tactile paving, an elevator, and barrier-free sanitary facilities.
After the opening, veterans and military personnel will have access to:
- legal and advisory services;
- psychological support;
- assistance with employment and retraining;
- social support and specialist consultations.
Additionally, the hub will include sports and rehabilitation rooms, a conference room for training and events, as well as a separate psychologist's office.
After the renovation is completed, the next phase will involve furnishing the premises with furniture, equipment, and technology.
«The opening of the new „Kyiv Military Hub“ will be a significant step in developing the city's support system for veterans and military personnel — for their recovery, adaptation, and reintegration into active life», noted Marina Honda.
The project is supported by members of international Samaritan organizations, including partners from Germany, Austria, Latvia, and the «White Cross South Tyrol» organization.
