Valentin Oleksienko, a resident of Vorzel and a hero of Ukraine, has set a new national record in the category of «First artist to paint using a wheelchair».
This was reported by the Bucha City Council.
After a severe spinal injury, Valentin lost his ability to walk, but he did not give up. Through rehabilitation and the support of his wife, he discovered a new path in painting. His artworks are created using the wheels of his wheelchair, expressing his inner strength and emotions.
One of his most famous pieces is titled «Turns of Fate». In it, yellow symbolizes hope and light, while black represents challenges, but in the end, light always prevails.
Currently, Valentin is undergoing rehabilitation in Lviv and continues to create new paintings for a charity auction to support Ukrainian soldiers.
His story is an example of courage, faith, and inspiration. For even in the toughest times, one can find a way to their dreams.
