A peaceful rally in support of Ukraine took place in Warsaw, near the US embassy, as part of the international initiative "Don't Sell Ukraine," which is being held in several countries around the world.

The event, organized by the "Euromaidan-Warsaw" initiative, was attended by Ukrainians who found refuge in Poland, local residents, members of the Ukrainian diaspora, and activists.

According to the organizers, the participants gathered to express gratitude to the USA for their support and to call for the rejection of "peaceful" solutions that could solidify the consequences of aggression.

"We are sincerely grateful to the United States for everything they have done for Ukraine. For every air defense system that saves lives, for the assistance that supports our economy, for the diplomatic stance that gives us a voice in the world. We see and appreciate this support. That is why we ask: do not allow aggression to be rewarded. Maintain this moral course. Stay on the side of freedom, as always," said activist Emma Zahinayko during the rally.

Participants also honored the memory of those lost to Russian aggression with a moment of silence. According to the latest UN data, in July 2025 alone, Russia killed 286 Ukrainian civilians, with another 1388 injured, marking a new record over the last three years. The total number of civilian casualties has increased by 48% compared to the same period in 2024.

The rally also emphasized the significance of the Budapest Memorandum, signed in 1994. Ukraine voluntarily gave up the third-largest nuclear arsenal in the world in exchange for security guarantees and territorial integrity, including from the USA.

"Any attempts to 'restart' relations with Russia at the expense of Ukrainian territories or lives send a signal to other autocrats: impunity is possible. This is a precedent that undermines the international security system," stressed activist Nina Tkatchuk.

Reminder: A meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled for Friday, August 15, at 11:00 local time (22:00 Kyiv time).
