In Kharkiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with schoolchildren and students at the youth center «Litera», based in the regional children's library.
This center offers various lectures, workshops, and training sessions. Students can prepare for the NMT for free, play board games, and watch films. The space is designed to help youth develop and connect in person despite the ongoing war.
Additionally, the center features a recording studio for creating podcasts. The President was a guest on one episode of the podcast «Challenges of Youth in Kharkiv Region».
«Since the beginning of the war, it has been crucial to maintain the unity of our state. I believe we have preserved Ukraine and its independence thanks to this unity,» said Volodymyr Zelensky.
The head of state, along with podcast hosts Vira Bondar, Ivan Kurylo, and Maksym Nahlyi, discussed the impact of the full-scale Russian invasion on youth, the rebuilding of Kharkiv after the war, and the values of Ukrainian youth.
«Our defenders are fighting for Kharkiv Region and all of Ukraine to restore life – a full life. Kharkiv has always been a city of youth. I have always been a hundred percent confident in Kharkiv. And that’s how Kharkiv is – strong and self-assured,» the President noted.
Moreover, the library hosts an ESTEAM laboratory, which combines entrepreneurship, science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Here, youth can gain new skills using a heat press, laser cutter, VR goggles, and a 3D printer.
