At the «MSV International Engineering Fair» in Brno, Czech Republic, Kyiv's industrial potential was showcased under the brand «Made in Kyiv». This was announced by Volodymyr Kostiuk, Director of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial Development of the Kyiv City State Administration.
«This fair is a key event for machine engineering technologies in Central Europe. Each year, over 1300 companies participate, with 50% being foreign, and around 56,000 visitors attend. It is crucial for Kyiv's enterprises to present themselves at such events, as every new contract brings additional revenue to the city and national budgets, creates new jobs, and attracts potential investors to our market», - stated Kostiuk.
He noted that interest in Ukrainian, particularly Kyiv enterprises, is growing, indicating their competitiveness in the European market.
«During the fair, we organized a forum for Czech businesses, and we were pleasantly surprised that the number of interested participants was nearly double our most optimistic forecasts. In the first two days alone, over two hundred Czech companies expressed interest in collaborating with Kyiv enterprises. This interest is, among other things, a result of high-level support for Ukraine and its capital in the Czech Republic. The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, personally visited our stand, reiterating his support for Ukraine. The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, the newly appointed Minister of Industry and Trade, Lukas Vlcek, and the Government Commissioner of the Czech Republic for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Tomas Kopecny, also visited our exhibits», - Kostiuk added.
He also thanked the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic, Vasyl Zvarych, and the Consul of Ukraine in Brno, Hanna Proshko, for their support and personal involvement in the opening of the «Made in Kyiv» exhibition.
