Herman Halushchenko, the Minister of Justice, met with the International Monetary Fund team led by Gavin Gray to discuss the implementation of the IMF program under the Extended Fund Facility and matters related to anti-corruption reforms.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice.

The minister shared key updates on important reforms in the fight against corruption and outlined priorities for the next year.

“Our strategy for combating corruption goes beyond merely drafting legislation. The entire digital transformation of justice aims to reduce corruption risks. Wherever we eliminate the human factor from the process, we mitigate corruption. Initiatives like the electronic court, e-notary (which we are currently testing with notaries), and the digitization of enforcement proceedings are examples of this,” said Halushchenko.

The minister emphasized that anti-corruption reforms are a top priority for the ministry and are closely linked to Ukraine's European integration commitments, as outlined in the Roadmap for the Rule of Law.

The parties also discussed judicial reform, access to judicial expertise, and the implementation of decisions by the European Court of Human Rights.

In conclusion, Halushchenko reiterated that the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine remains committed to ongoing reforms in combating corruption, as reaffirmed by the commitments outlined in the Memorandum with the IMF, the Ukraine Facility Plan, and the Roadmap for the Rule of Law.
