Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is prepared to supply gas and oil to Slovakia, as long as these resources do not come from Russia.
This announcement was made during a press briefing following his meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Transcarpathia, as reported by a correspondent from Ukrinform.

“We discussed energy issues with Prime Minister Fico. We are ready to supply gas and oil to Slovakia – if they are not Russian resources. We are at war, and that is the bottom line,” Zelensky emphasized.

He added that Ukraine has numerous alternative solutions and projects and is ready to actively pursue them.
“If it weren’t for the challenges posed by Russian strikes on our energy infrastructure, we could have collaborated more effectively with Slovakia in this area. Prior to the strikes, we had a stable surplus of energy resources,” he mentioned.

He also noted that Ukraine continues to respond to Russian attacks on its energy facilities.

“We will respond. But we hope for an end to this war soon,” Zelensky remarked.

He stressed that people cannot simply endure the darkness.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico concluded in Transcarpathia.
Before this, President Zelensky held a bilateral meeting with President of the European Council Charles Michel.
