The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is planning to establish an office in Ukraine to oversee effective management of post-war recovery projects.

This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following a meeting between Deputy Minister Maryana Betza and UNIDO's Senior Coordinator for Ukraine, Stefan Sikars.

“We welcome UNIDO's plans to create an office in Ukraine, which will ensure effective project management, considering the critical need for rapid post-war economic recovery,” emphasized the deputy minister.

During the meeting, the parties discussed UNIDO's programmatic activities in Ukraine and collaboration on upcoming initiatives and events.

Betza noted the significant expansion of UNIDO's projects in recent years. She highlighted the importance of the organization’s involvement in the operational rebuilding of the destruction caused by Russia’s war against Ukraine and its assistance in post-war recovery.

Reminder:

The UN plans to mobilize over $2.6 billion to assist Ukrainians in 2025, as outlined in the organization’s approved plan.
