In 2025, from January to May, the tax on electronic services paid by foreign companies reached approximately 7 billion UAH.
According to Danilo Hetmantsev, the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament's Finance Committee, the volume of taxable electronic services increased by 29.5% compared to the same period in 2024, which is 1.8 billion more than in 2023.
The number of companies paying the tax rose to 136. Revenues for January to May 2025 amounted to about 7 billion UAH, or €76.1 million / $85.2 million.
Among the largest taxpayers are Google, Apple, Meta, Valve, Sony, Netflix, Spotify, Adobe, Etsy, Epic, Upwork, and Wargaming Group. Hetmantsev also noted that Bolt and Uklon paid €4.4 million, while OnlyFans contributed $0.8 million.
It is important to remember that the tax on electronic services is a VAT of 20% that took effect on January 1, 2022. It is paid by foreign companies providing various electronic services without being registered in Ukraine.
Earlier, Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, reported that in the first quarter of 2025, the tax brought in 3.5 billion UAH.
