In the village of Byshiv, Kyiv region, an incident occurred where a taxi driver attempted to forcibly put a 6-year-old girl into his car. Fortunately, the girl showed bravery, opened the door, and escaped.

The assailant was apprehended, according to the police of the Kyiv region.

Law enforcement received a report about the attempted abduction of the child.

Investigators found out that the girl was playing near a private house when a Peugeot vehicle approached her.

An unknown man exited the car and tried to force the child inside.

Fortunately, the girl remained calm and managed to flee.

The police arrested a 39-year-old man responsible for this crime.

Investigators from the Fastiv district police department initiated a criminal case under part 2 of article 15 (attempted crime) and part 2 of article 146 (illegal deprivation of liberty) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Shortly, he will be informed of the suspicion and a preventive measure will be chosen.

The maximum penalty for this article is 5 years of imprisonment.
