Friendship Turned Violent: Stabbing Incident in Kyiv

A dispute during a gathering led to a stabbing incident involving two friends in Kyiv.

The victim was hospitalized while the attacker was taken into custody in accordance with legal procedures. He faces a sentence of up to eight years in prison for his actions. 
In Kyiv, emergency services alerted the special line 102 about a male being hospitalized with a stab wound to the chest.
Law enforcement officials determined that the injury was sustained by a 25-year-old local resident visiting his 24-year-old friend. During a gathering, a dispute arose between the two, escalating into a fight, during which the 24-year-old homeowner stabbed his guest in the chest.
Police apprehended the attacker under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Solomyansky District Prosecutor's Office, informed the detainee of the suspicion under part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional grievous bodily harm. The sanctions for this article entail imprisonment for up to eight years.
