In Kyiv's Obolon district, law enforcement officials seized 45 packages from a minor containing a substance resembling Alpha-PVP. The young man faces up to ten years in prison.
During patrols in the recreational area near Stepan Bandera Avenue, police discovered a young man with «drops» wrapped in tape. To clarify the situation, an investigation team was dispatched to the scene.
Investigators seized 45 packets containing a crystalline substance thought to be the psychotropic Alpha-PVP.
The suspect turned out to be a 17-year-old student from a capital lyceum, working as a courier for an illegal online drug shop. His duties included making hideouts with «goods» for clients and sending them their geolocation.
Law enforcement detained the offender under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Following the appropriate examination, the minor is expected to be charged under Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal acquisition, storage, or sale of psychotropic substances. The penalties for this article include up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
