Kirovohrad police are on the lookout for a man who opened fire on officers.
Reports of gunfire were received at 4:03 PM. The incident occurred in the village of Pishchany Brid in the Novoukrainka district. During a document check of a local resident, he fired at the police with unidentified weapons. 
As a result of the shooting, the head of the SRPP sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and his partner suffered an injury to his arm.
Measures are currently being taken to apprehend the assailant. A special police operation has been initiated in the region.
