Last night, during a patrol of Kontraktova Square in Kyiv, law enforcement discovered a group of minors violating public order. Five teenagers aged 15-16, along with an 18-year-old friend, were drinking alcohol in public, using foul language, and provoking conflicts. The police intervened to stop the misconduct and invited the youths and their parents to the Podil Police Department for a preventive discussion. Administrative reports were filed against the offenders under articles 178 (drinking alcohol in prohibited places) and 173 (petty hooliganism) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, as well as against the adult for article 180 (leading a minor to drunkenness). The parents of the minors also received reports under article 184 (failure to fulfill parental responsibilities) of the same code. The police emphasize the seriousness of such actions, which may result in fines or administrative arrest.
