The Security Service of Ukraine has arrested two Russian informants operating in the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. These individuals were involved in collecting intelligence for missile and artillery strikes against Ukrainian military forces. One of the detainees, a 20-year-old woman from the Synelnykove district, was monitoring the movements of Ukrainian forces.
She set up a hidden camera along the railway line to relay information to Russian intelligence. In the Donetsk region, another informant was exposed for directing guided bombs and artillery to Ukrainian defense positions in Sloviansk. The gathered intelligence was sent via messenger to an acquaintance who is a militant associated with Russian-backed groups. The Security Service documented the actions of both informants and seized their smartphones used for communication with enemy intelligence. They have been charged under Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the dissemination of information about the movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The suspects face up to 8 years in prison. Operations were conducted with the support of regional prosecutors.
