A traffic accident took place on one of the streets in Pereyaslav.
Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that a 24-year-old driver of a Ford failed to ensure safety while maneuvering and collided with an Opel vehicle driven by a 32-year-old local woman. The impact caused the Opel to catch fire.
As a result of the incident, the driver of the Opel Astra sustained injuries and was taken to a medical facility for necessary assistance. 
The investigators from the Boryspil district police department in Kyiv region have initiated criminal proceedings for violation of road safety rules leading to bodily harm (Part 1, Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
