The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended another informant in Mykolaiv, a 45-year-old local resident who was aiding Russian forces by coordinating missile and drone attacks on the city. According to SBU cyber specialists, he was in contact with an agent named Sergey Lebedev, who is hiding in Donetsk and working with the Russian military intelligence.

This informant was gathering intelligence on Ukrainian troops and relaying it to his handler via online maps. After each communication session, he would erase all correspondence, but this did not prevent his arrest.

SBU operatives conducted a search at his residence and seized a phone containing evidence of his subversive activities. He has been charged under Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The suspect will remain in custody without the option of bail, facing up to 12 years in prison.
