Officials from the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police arrested a woman suspected of organizing a terrorist act against military personnel in Kharkiv on June 20.

On that day, Russian special services activated an improvised explosive device hidden in a scooter, which was near two soldiers.

The explosion occurred near a cafe, where the enemy lured Ukrainian soldiers under the pretext of offering a 'volunteer' scooter.

The investigation revealed that the aggressor recruited a 19-year-old woman from Kharkiv through Telegram job search channels.

After recruitment, she received instructions for making explosives at home, acquiring the necessary materials for remote detonation.

She hid the finished device in the scooter's trunk at the planned attack site.

Russian special services tracked the arrival of the military using a camera set up at the location.

After the explosion, the terrorist attempted to go into hiding but was apprehended by law enforcement a few hours later.

During the search, unused components of the explosive device and a phone containing evidence were seized from her.

She has been charged under Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for a terrorist act that resulted in loss of life.

The perpetrator is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment.

The operation was carried out by SBU staff in Kharkiv region in cooperation with the National Police under the supervision of the regional prosecutor's office.
