Late on May 30, an alarming event unfolded in Zhytomyr when a man threw a grenade into a group of people, resulting in six individuals requiring hospitalization.

The explosion occurred around 11:30 PM near a supermarket on Peace Avenue.

According to police, an unidentified man hurled an explosive device at the crowd and fled the scene.

The blast caused injuries to six residents of Zhytomyr, aged between 22 and 42, who were subsequently hospitalized.

Investigators have initiated a criminal case for an attempted murder of two or more persons, posing a danger to many lives.
